Netflix CEO Calls Out Comcast on Facebook

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is less than thrilled that Comcast’s On Demand app for Xbox 360 doesn’t count against periodic data caps. Basically, folks at Comcast are saying that because they deliver the service over Comcast’s private IP network (and not the public Internet) their service is rightfully exempt from the cap. Comcast customers probably aren’t complaining, but Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and other companies with similar apps are unhappy about their new disadvantage. [Time]
