Cole Hamels Gets a One-Year, $15 Million Extension

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports is reporting that the Phillies and Cole Hamels have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $15 million contract extension with a slew of performance incentives.

UPDATE: According to Todd Zolecki, the team has also avoided arbitration by agreeing to a new contract with Wilson Valdez.
