Larry Platt vs. Councilwoman Tasco. Who ya got? The editor of the Daily News and Councilwoman Marian Tasco had a serious conversation about Tasco’s participation in the DROP program (re: taking nearly $500,000 and not actually retiring). Tasco called Platt after the paper ran a cover story on her “retirement” to insist that she’s entitled to the money and accuse the DN of being racist.
