Andy Reid is Still the Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie announced in a press conference moments ago that the Philadelphia Eagles have decided to retain Andy Reid as its head coach. Reid has been the head coach of Philadelphia’s NFL franchise since 1999. He took the team to five NFC championship games, including one in 2008. The Eagles saved face (?) with four wins down the stretch to get to 8-8 this season. Lurie cited Reid’s intangibles, the “fire in his belly,” and his track record of success as motives for his decision. Reid will have hiring/firing power for the rest of the staff.
