Sentencing in Phillies Parking Lot Beating Death. Three men plead guilty in the beating death of 22-year-old David Sale outside of McFadden’s at Citizens Bank Park in 2009. Today, the three men will be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison. [NBC Philadelphia]

Witness Testifies in Dungeon Case Preliminary Hearing. One of the four mentally challenged adults allegedly held captive by Linda Ann Weston testified to the conditions she and the other alleged victims withstood. He claims he had to sleep on the floor and go without food. He also claimed to witness the repeated beatings of the others in the basement, but never tried to escape. [Inquirer]

Flyers Lose To Avs in Shootout. The Flyers managed to tie the game with 18 seconds left in regulation but couldn’t take the Avs in a shootout. Colorado is notoriously unbeatable in shootouts and proved why by scoring on all three chances against Bryz. Ed Wade is Back With the Phils. Ed Wade—the former GM who was running the Phillies when Hamels, Utley, Howard, Myers and Burrell were drafted—has rejoined the organization as a scout. Wade was fired from his post as GM of the Astros. We always knew he was still a Phil at heart. [Buzz on Broad]

Two Arrests in Videotaped Attack on Homeless Man. A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old have been charged in connection with the beating of a homeless man. The boy held the camera and encouraged the 20-year-old as he beat and kicked the man and then wished him a merry Christmas. [6 ABC]
