Main Line Law Firm to Split Massive Payday
So, is $285 million a lot of money? Two Main Line law firms will split a fee that size after winning a shareholder dispute involving a Mexican copper company. Southern Copper’s board of directors and defense attorneys suggested a fee of $14 million. Radnor’s Kessler, Topaz, Meltzer & Check LLP and Prickett Jones & Elliott of Wilmington suggested a $428.2 million fee. While the firms didn’t get exactly what they asked for, $35,000 an hour isn’t bad. This is when the rest of us enter an existential crisis. I probably should have paid more attention in BLAW 243.
