New nonprofit to fight for jobs

Philadelphians Organized to Witness Empower and Rebuild is a new advocacy group focused on finding employment for 10,000 of the city’s unemployed by 2015. The faith-based group is comprised of members of 40 houses of worship and includes many clergy other individuals of religious import including Bishop Dwayne Royster of Living Water United Church of Christ in North Philadelphia, POWER’s executive director.
