Philadelphia Inquirer and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Team Up

Pennsylvania papers put their heads together

It’s no secret that the newspaper industry is dying faster than a henchman in a Bond flick. So, it’s no surprise that media conglomerates are trying out new ideas to help stave off extinction. The Inky has recently made one such move by teaming up with a cross-state rag—the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Both papers will remain fundamentally the same but will work together on national and state-wide coverage. They’ll work cooperatively to follow the 2012 election and to preview the upcoming NFL season. [Philadelphia Business Journal]
