Speculation Suggests New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Might Run for President. Party members such as Karl Rove have been outspoken about their hope that Christie will run for president in 2012. Republican leaders have conducted surveys and polls to determine if Christie would make a strong candidate. Christie hasn’t committed to running, but also hasn’t quelled rumors by completely ruling it out. And he’s been meeting with national GOP leaders. [CBS 3]

Video Surfaces From Random Attack in May at City Hall. In May, a woman was walking by City Hall when a gaggle of violent teenage girls attacked her from behind. They hit and kicked her while she was on the ground, apparently laughing the whole time. [FOX 29]

Exchange Students File Complaint Against Hershey. Foreign students paid $3,000-$6,000 each to be a part of Hershey’s cultural exchange program. That program has them packaging chocolate in a factory for minimum wage and getting rent deducted from their paychecks. [CBS 3]

New Jersey Set to Pass New Anti-Bullying Law. With the school year right around the corner, New Jersey is readying with fresh legislation on the handling of bullying in schools. The new law would put time restrictions on how long a faculty member could wait before reporting an incident and forces the principals to investigate incidents within 10 days. [Inquirer]

Phils Win 9-2. The Phils scored three in the seventh and four in the eighth to go up 9-2 on Arizona. Lee pitched seven strong, and Bastardo and Madson each threw a perfect inning of relief. Not a bad way to bounce back from a tough loss. [The 700 Level]

Maclin Says He’s Good to Go After Cancer Scare. Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin has been mysteriously absent from team practices, and fans have been worried. Maclin finally broke the silence yesterday by explaining that he had spent the past five months being tested for lymphoma and other kinds of cancer. All of the results of those tests came back negative, and doctors still aren’t positive what caused his night sweats, loss of appetite and weight loss. Maclin should return to practice in the next 10 days and be good to go for week one against the Rams. [CBS 3]

Angelo Cataldi Will Officially Announce WIP’s Takeover of WYSP Today. It’s expected that at the end of his morning show today, Cataldi will officially announce the station’s take over of FM rock station 94 WYSP. He’ll also announce the new lineup, including who will take over for Eskin during the afternoon drive show. [Daily News]
