Sports Illustrated Poll Lists Michael Vick as Best “Baseball” Player
SI survey asked Major Leaguers which athlete in another sport would be the best on the diamond
Sports Illustrated got 269 Major League players to vote for the athlete outside of MLB they thought would be the most successful in the Bigs. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick topped this list, garnering 16 percent of the tallies. Vick edged out LeBron James, Sidney Crosby, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. Even though the signal-caller didn’t play baseball in college, the Rockies picked him in the 30th round of the MLB draft in 2000. In lieu of baseball, Vick decided to go pro in another sport—it seems to have worked out for him. [Sports Illustrated]
