?uestlove to Jam With Earth, Wind & Fire on the 4th of July

This morning in Room 202 of City Hall — it was supposed to be outside, but the weather didn’t cooperate — Mayor Michael Nutter announced that the Roots will headline this year’s Welcome America celebration on the Parkway. But more interestingly, Roots drummer/producer ?uestlove will join the always entertaining Earth, Wind & Fire for a special set. Also on stage: Michael McDonald and DJ Jazzy Jeff. So you could spend $80 to go to the Roots Picnic at Penn’s Landing on June 4th, or you could spend that money on fireworks and see this show for free.
