Where Were Eating: Timber Wood-Fired Grill
A rustic remake makes the former Inn Flight a cozy spot for wings and heart soups.
Twig lamps, red-and-white-checkered chairs, exposed beams and log piles make the old Inn Flight feel more cabin-in-the-woods than across-the-street-from-a-hospital. Such rustic details put an eater in the mood for substantial meals: caramelized half-racks, classic French dips, panko-topped mac-and-cheese and brioche-swaddled burgers. Owner Michael Dombkoski matriculated at Pasión, but don’t expect fruity ceviches — more like wings by the pound and hearty soups du jour. (We like Tuesday’s spicy tomato basil.)
