Where Were Eating: Sushikazu
Large portions and delicate rolls define this Montco sushi joint.
Sushi fans in this part of Montco were distraught when their beloved Sushi Kazu closed in 2009, but the new version, under chef/owner Jay Park, is even better than the one they came to love during its 10-year run. Park, a native Korean, honed his fish skills at the World Trade Center’s Windows on the World and later at his own Japanese restaurant in Manhattan, and his three decades of experience are evident in the tidy BYO’s artful rolls, like the Alligator (spicy tuna, eel and caviar) and sizeable appetizers such as the Mountain Tuna, which would more appropriately be titled Mountain of Tuna.
