Taste: Dining Out: Where We’re Eating: Twenty Manning Grill
Twenty Manning Grill Rittenhouse
Audrey Taichman has revamped her 10-year-old restaurant, brightening the somewhat dated minimalist decor with fresh white walls and sunny yellow booths. This cheery atmosphere brings with it a menu full of easy crowd-pleasers, like a refreshing scallop ceviche and a simple thin-crust pizza. A few of the previous menu’s Asian-influenced standbys remain, but mostly the new lineup delivers the usual suspects — a plump pork chop with cinnamon peaches, burgers and fries, spaghetti specials — that you want from your favorite neighborhood hang. Insider tip: Make reservations — the place is perennially crowded. 261 South 20th Street, 215-731-0900, twentymanning.com.
