Taste: Spirits: Drink Here Now: The Stone Rose
What: A cozy new Conshy eatery and drinkery owned by former stockbroker Brian Pieri, 32.
Date opened: October 8th.
The vibe: Pretty and welcoming. You can have dinner in the back dining room, eat at the bar, or meet up for happy hour.
Beers: The six taps are all local; the 30 or so bottles are mostly well-priced microbrews.
Wines: A large selection from overseas, mostly under $50.
Food: Chef Jason Lipnicki knows his meat and potatoes. The short ribs over mac-and-cheese are a must, while the ice-cream sandwich was so good, it made us giggle.
About the friendly service: The staff here was trained by a Four Seasons manager.
Introduce yourself: Pieri almost never forgets a face or name.
