First-Annual Lemon Run, 5K Run, 2-mile Walk and Kids’ Race, October 25, 2009
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will host its first-annual Lemon Run (5K run, 2-mile walk, and kids’ race) at Ridley Creek State Park on October 25th to benefit research to find a cure for childhood cancer, a foundation started in 2000 by 4-year-old Alex Scott. The first 500 people registered will receive a free T-shirt.

PENN Medicine at Radnor Run, October 25, 2009
Join the American Lung Association for the 32nd Annual Penn Medicine at Radnor Run. A 1-mile fun run/walk and 5-mile run raises money to fight lung disease in all its forms through education, research, and advocacy.

Patton Gives Back 5K Run & Family Fun Day, October 31, 2009
Break a sweat with a 5K before overdosing on Halloween candy. Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy’s mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life, and long-term outlook for all individuals affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy through research, education, advocacy, and compassion. On October 31st, a 5K run and family fun day will benefit their mission.

Black Cat 5K, October 31, 2009
This is one of the few run/walk/adoption events in the area.  The Black Cat 5K is sponsored by the Bucks County SPCA and features a timed 5K and 1-mile Fun Walk.  After the race there will be refreshments and the SPCA will have a few new friends they would like you to meet. Maybe even take home.

Cost: 5K, $20 before October 24, after October 24 and on race day is $25.

Free to Breathe 5K, November 1, 2009
Come out and support the fourth-annual Free to Breathe Lung Cancer 5K run that provides an opportunity for lung cancer advocates, survivors, and the community to come together to raise awareness about the deadly disease. All proceeds from this event will benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership’s research, education, and awareness programs.
