Super Special Dinner Deal: Little Fish on Sunday Nights
Little Fish, the pint-size Queen Village seafood restaurant that was recently named one of Bon Appetit’s 10 best seafood restaurants in the country, has its ego in check with a ridiculously well-priced Sunday-night dinner special: five courses for 28 bucks. Reservations for one of the eight or so tables are a must, and the menu is what it is, but if you aren’t a picky eater, it’s one of the best deals in town.
This past weekend we had a frisée salad, carrot and mussel soup, Suzuki (an Asian cod) over a sweet-and-salty Sicilian ragout, skate over a raviolo stuffed with braised beef cheek and wild mushrooms, and an apple bread pudding for dessert. The portion sizes were perfect (full, but not overly full) and the neighborhood vibe can’t be beat. But most important: It gives you something to look forward to at the dreaded end of the weekend.
