Web Original: Style Report: Super-Sale Week
My inbox is overflowing with sales starting this week. Do your part to bring the economy back and start spending!
Starting Friday and running through Christmas Eve, Bruges Home — one of our favorite shelter and furniture stores in Old City — will take 30 percent off your final bill.
Black Friday (aka November 28th) at Arcadia (the eco-boutique in Northern Liberties) means 50-percent off everything that’s black in the store and a 25-percent-off-all-merchandise sale that runs through Sunday.
Blink in West Chester is having a sale that starts today and continues through Friday, where everything in the store is 15-percent off (we particularly love their denim collection).
The Philadelphia Premium Outlets are not only adding to the insanity that is Black Friday by opening at midnight (as in a few hours after you’ve finished your Thanksgiving dinner), but most stores are reducing their goods by an additional 20 to 60 percent. Oh, and they are staying open till 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Newtown’s Love Illuminati’s weeklong sale started yesterday: Get 15-percent off your entire purchase and another 5-percent off if you say the Members Secret Greeting. I would tell you, but I’d have to kill you. Okay, if you really want to know, email me and I’ll tell you: aprimis@phillymag.com
The Pier Shops at Caesars in AC are having lots of deals running all weekend. The only gamble: You’ve got to be a Total Rewards Members. It’s easy to sign up though, just stop by one of the kiosks. A few of our faves: 10-percent off full-priced goods at Betsey Johnson; 20-percent off Hugo Boss; 30-percent off Cole Haan; up to 50-percent off at Stuart Weitzman.
Smak Parlour in Old City is offering 20-percent off any one of their items on Friday. (They’ve got lots of good, well-priced gifts, too.)
State of Grace in Bryn Mawr is having a Holiday Sale on Sunday. Save 10 percent on all goods and get a free gift wrap.
In KOP, Furla is reducing select handbags by 30 to 50 percent and small goods (hats, gloves, scarves, belts) by 30 percent. Oh, and did we mention that KOP is opening at 6 a.m.?
Ever-dapper men’s store Wayne Edwards is offering up to 50-percent off on ties, sport jackets, suits, tuxes, leather, coats and shoes, and 40-percent off the entire Lanvin and Dries Van Noten collections, starting Friday.
Old City’s Third Street Habit has already reduced fall goods by 40 to 50 percent.
Joseph Anthony Spa (A Best Of winner) is getting into the spirit with
specials on treatment packages on Friday and Saturday, 20-percent off select products and special displays from nearby stores.
