The Good Life: 3-in-1 for All

The one-stop cleanser we love

The name on the sleek turquoise-and-red tube doesn't make much sense. Freeze 24-7's “Ice Shield” sounds like, well, defroster for your face. It's not. It's a rich cleanser infused with coconut, white tea and white willow extracts to clarify and hydrate — all merged with UVA/UVB blocking Avobenzone (SPF 15) to protect your pretty mug from the sun's wrinkling rays. Usually we're suspicious of multitasking products: Conditioning shampoo? Never.

Never. But this time, three-in-one's a charm. We tested out Ice Shield during one solid, cloudless week. And, despite our half-hour morning walks to work (on the sunny side of the street, even), daily lunchtime errands (to H&M) and occasional hour (or two) lazing about Rittenhouse Square, we can honestly attest that our burn-prone noses are nary a shade pinker.

Of course, Ice Shield works way better when you layer an SPF 30 over it, something we vow to do just as soon as we find a cream that makes our thighs resemble Julianne Hough's (or even Apolo Ohno's) from Dancing with the Stars. Anyone know of a product that can do that?
