The man who fueled the protests of the 1960s (and the “jester” character in the lyrics of “American Pie”) is closing in on 70 years old but still topping the music charts. Bob Dylan performs his oldies and newbies — off his latest album, Modern Times — this weekend at the Wachovia Spectrum. Since 1962, he’s produced more than 450 songs and 48 albums — yep, almost an album a year. Joining Dylan are the Raconteurs, featuring a couple of young friends, including Jack White of the White Stripes and Brendan Benson. The quartet will be playing from their debut album, Broken Boy Soldier.
