Old City resident Beau Wangtrakuldee spent more than a decade as a chemist — until a near-deadly spill seeped through her clothes. The accident gave her the idea to launch AmorSui, a fashion-forward chemical-and-fire-resistant solution for lady STEM workers (plus firefighters, chefs and medical professionals). Not facing flames on a daily basis? The brand-new Bioleta stain-proof line was designed with busy moms in mind.
Ardmore’s Wellness Boom Gets Bigger

Just when you thought Suburban Square couldn’t get more fitness-chic (see: Lifetime Fitness, SoulCycle, Lululemon and Juice Press), in comes the newest location of Endeavor Athletic. The high-end brand from local Colby Cohen, a former NHL player, boasts stylish fitness gear that’s also effective: Designs utilize Trizar, a heat-moderating tech, to keep wearers dry no matter how intense the sweat (er, shopping) sesh. 24 Parking Plaza, Ardmore.
A New Jewelry Shop for Rittenhouse

Gem designer Angela Monaco, owner of Ritual Shoppe, just relocated her boutique from NoLibs to Rittenhouse. Inside the pretty-in-pink shop, you’ll find her latest “Ceremonious” line of stackable rings — plus trendy millennial favorites like energy crystals, tarot decks and soy candles — all providing you with instant cool-cred. 2003 Walnut Street, Rittenhouse.

Body+Beauty Lab (834 Chestnut Street, Washington Square West) is offering clinical skin-care treatments you can get on your lunch break, like dermaplaning and HydraFacials. (B+B is the new name for what was 3000BC, which closed its long-running Chestnut Hill spa.) Newcomer Skin Haus (1238 South Street, Bella Vista) provides an open-concept “facial bar” that boasts 30- or 50-minute custom facials and peels. And Elizabeth Cardarelli’s Avery Graham Aesthetics (2212 Walnut Street, Rittenhouse) joins the trend with a new full-service location doling out micro-needling and Trifecta surfacing peels within an hour.
Salvaged Style on the Main Line

Chadds Ford resident and FIT grad Nicole Carey ditched a boutique-buyer career in California to open Milou — her luxury antidote to fast fashion. The upscale, eco-friendly shop features a mix of unworn (receipts on) and lightly worn pre-owned women’s apparel (think Marc Jacobs military jackets and James Perse tees), plus organic skin-care products and vintage home goods. 125 East State Street, Kennett Square.
