What is your typical process for working with a new client?

Studio CCLA is a firm that has the ability to execute day to day tasks with simple and creative solutions that work and stand the test of time. We are curious about the world in which we live and think creatively about the role of a landscape architect in today's society. Diversity in our clients; project types and staff allow us to address complex questions smoothly during design or throughout a public process while meeting the needs of all stakeholders.

What do clients have to say about you?

I have worked with Carolyn for over three years and find her leadership; organization; and follow-through to be outstanding. She is personable and able to design and develop an overarching vision for a project and articulate it with the passion to bring people together behind her ideas. I highly recommend Carolyn and Studio CCLA. - Jules Bruck Ph.D.; PLA; ASLA Professor and Director of Landscape Architecture University of Delaware

Over the last several years; Carolyn has donated her time and expertise to local community nonprofit groups through the Community Design Collaborative. Since first volunteering in 2016; Carolyn has continued her commitment with great effort and enthusiasm; successfully working with multidisciplinary teams of volunteer professionals to provide high quality community-driven conceptual design to three of our nonprofit clients. The Collaborative is dependent upon volunteers like Carolyn; who are not only passionate about the work that they do as design professionals; but also recognize the potential they have to use their skills to serve communities and improve the world around them. - Heidi Segall Levy; Director of Design Services Community Design Collaborative

We had the great pleasure of working with Carolyn Campbell of Studio CCLA on a residential project to reimagine the setting of our 100+-year-old Craftsman lake house to meet our family's needs for the next decades. We needed a master plan to start working toward; and Carolyn delivered in spades.

Carolyn is among the best of designers and technical experts. She seeks to understand needs; desires; and use; and then imagines possibilities to fulfill those in unexpected and delightful ways. My favorite part of the process was reviewing three distinct design directions that she created. All were equally interesting; imaginative; and compelling. And then we worked together; discussing the best elements; to narrow to a single design.

The detailed documentation she created will allow us to move toward construction with confidence. Carolyn has made herself available every step of the way to answer questions and provide guidance.

We are still in the process of beginning construction and cannot wait to see this plan come to life. It will enrich how we live; convene; and commune with our friends; families; and neighbors and all the natural beauty that will surround us.

Her work exceeded our expectations across the board; and I highly recommend the talents and services of Carolyn and Studio CCLA.
