AIDS Law Project Throwing Hot Rods to Hell Benefit

“These kids have no place to go and they want to get there at 150 miles an hour!”

Surely, that’s not what people will be saying on Friday, July 31st as supporters of the AIDS Law Project flock to the William Way Community Center for their summer movie party. The 6 pm benefit will present a screening of the campy 1967 film Hot Rods to Hell, along with a pre-party, food and drink, plus a talk-back session after the movie featuring local cinema experts Irv Slifkin and Richard Barrios.

Attendees will have a chance to win raffles to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute and a gift certificate from Nuts-To-You, plus Flying Fish and Yards Brewing are providing beer for the evening.

The AIDS Law Project is, according to their website, “a nonprofit, public-interest law firm providing free legal assistance to people with HIV/AIDS and those affected by the epidemic.
