George Takei Will Be at The Great Philadelphia Comic Con This Weekend

Heads up, gay geeks: Star Trek vet, legendary gay icon and all-around hilarious Twitterer George Takei is coming to the area this weekend for The Great Philadelphia Comic Con.

He’ll be there on Saturday, April 4th from 12:30 to 5:30 pm for photo opportunities and a special panel at 2 pm, where he’ll talk about playing Mr. Sulu and his documentary To Be Takei, which, among other things, touches on his life as an LGBT activist.

The rest of the guest list for the weekend is pretty prolific, including, for you children of the ’90s, a handful of original Power Rangers and Kristine Sutherland from Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You can find the full lineup of the three-day Comic Con here. There’s a 20-percent-off coupon for a weekend pass on the event’s Facebook page.
