Come to G Philly’s LGBT Six-Word Memoir Slam

Our current issue of G Philly features a collection of wildly entertaining Six-Word Memoirs, which we produced in partnership with SMITH Magazine’s Six-Word Memoir Project. We’ve been thrilled at the engaged response, and are even more thrilled to invite you to come to an event that celebrates this engaging form of storytelling.

On Tue., Oct. 22, we’ll be hosting our own LGBT “Six-Word Memoir Slam in celebration of LGBT History Month. Check out the e-flyer above, click on the link, and buy your tickets (seating is limited!). For $10, you get great cocktails and great storytelling, all done in tidy six-minute intervals. The fab lineup of speakers includes MontCo Register of Wills D. Bruce Hanes; hilarious trans comedian Julia Scotti; Property blogger Liz Spikol; playwright and standup “dramedian” R. Eric Thomas; the Attic Youth Center‘s Kemar Jewel; and attorney and Mazeppa Productions managing director Brian Seaman. In six words: Come. Be Gay. Laugh. Cry. Enjoy.
