Last Chance: Open Call for LGBTQ Artists at William Way

Local artists have a few more days to be part of the Center's Annual Juried Art Show and Exhibition.

The William Way Community Center (WWCC) is searching for local, emerging LGBTQ artists to highlight in its eighth-annual Juried Show and Exhibition, and the deadline to submit work is hot on our heels. Organizers are requesting digital submissions of all sorts of ready-to-be-hung artworks — from 2-dimensional works and drawings to paintings, mixed media and photographs — and it needs be submitted by Fri., Feb. 8 at midnight. There is an entry fee of $10.

WWCC program director Candace Thompson says submissions will be juried by the Institute of Contemporary Art’s Amy Sadao. Those who make the cut will find their work on public display at WWCC from March 8 through April 5. Out of the group, three winners will be chosen to be part of a group exhibition at William Way in 2014.
