This is one occasion when you don’t have to feel guilty about drinking wine. Now in it’s 11th year, the Philadelphia Wine Festival is a one-night-only event that spotlights some of the best reds and whites in the world. And it all takes place at Lincoln Financial Field this weekend – May 5 (5 p.m. VIP, 6:30 p.m. General Admission).

Philadelphia magazine and PA Wine & Spirits Stores partner to bring together a brag-worthy selection of wines from vineyards and wineries around the world. It’s a great opportunity to taste test new wines to add to your summer party without having to wonder if you made the right choice. If you like what you taste, you can even purchase favorites in the official on-site PA Wine & Spirits Store.

The best part (well, apart from the wine tasting itself) is the silent auction benefits The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on rare and fun items throughout the night – all for a great cause. You’ll even receive a commemorative 2012 Philadelphia Wine Festival wine glass (courtesy of Lexus) and a tasting book with room for tasting notes.

Cheers!
