Kids Books Today
The ex-gays are at it again. Wal-Mart stores around the country have begun selling a new children’s book that sings the praises of gay reformation. Chased by an Elephant: The Gospel Truth About Today’s Stampeding Sexuality (Tidal Wave Books, 2010) by Janis Barrett Graham tells the story of gender roles, chastity and how to control one’s sexual appetite, especially when it comes to same-sex loving.
The author (married to Stephen Graham who operates the anti-gay group Standard of Liberty) even claims her son Andrew has successfully turned his life around and that he’s now living happily as an ex-gay man. According to The Advocate, he’s the author of Captain of My Soul about the experience, claiming in the book’s introduction that online porn is to blame for his attraction to men.
Philadelphia’s Wal-Mart stores do not currently carry the book. It’s also not yet listed on the superstore’s website.
