Chef Nick Elmi is doing his part to help end childhood hunger.

The Laurel and Royal Boucherie chef-owner is teaming up with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and a crew of his chef friends for An Evening in the Garden with No Kid Hungry. It’s a boucherie-style (read: pork-heavy) walkaround tasting at the flagship PHS Pop-Up Garden at 15th and South, with a focus on whole-hog inspired dishes.

In addition to event chair Elmi, the tasting will feature some heavy hitters in Philly’s fine dining scene: Daniel Eddy of Walnut Street Café, Royal Izakaya’s Jesse Ito, Fork’s Jon PattersonGreg Vernick of Vernick Food & Drink, and Townsend Wentz of Oloroso and Townsend.

The pork goes down on Wednesday, May 23rd from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person, and you can get them here — use the promo code PHILLYMAG20 to get 20 percent off.

Proceeds will go to nonprofit No Kid Hungry, which works to end childhood hunger through programs like free summer meals, school breakfast, and food education.
