Shake Shack Continues Taking Over Philadelphia

There’s finally going to be a Shake Shack east of Broad Street.

The fast-casual burger spot is set to move into a ground-floor property at 105 South 12th Street in the White Building — the same property that once housed Philly Cupcake, one of the first retailers to set up shop years ago on the once-neglected corner.

This will be the chain’s 7th location in the tri-state area around Philly. The 3,600 square-foot space at 12th and Chestnut, the epicenter of Market East’s retail boom, is set to open in late 2018.
