Sheila Modglin is facing a long road to recovery. The beloved Dirty Frank’s bartender and arts nonprofit founder sustained serious injuries when she was struck by a car on February 9th.

With Modglin uninsured and without income while she heals, friends and colleagues have banded together to raise money for mounting medical bills. And tonight, you can contribute to this great cause while enjoying rare beer.

At 5 p.m., Monk’s Cafe will tap a keg of Russian River Brewing’s Pliny the Younger, a much-coveted, high-ABV triple IPA.

And then at 7 p.m., the folks at Fergie’s Pub will tap another keg to help with the fundraising efforts. A 10-ounce pour at both bars goes for $15, cash only, with 100 percent of the proceeds to be donated to Modglin’s recovery fund.

If you can’t make it to tonight’s tappings, you can contribute to the fundraising efforts for Modglin here or mail checks made out to Kathy Kalafut to 27 Paper Mill Rd., Springfield, Pa. 19064.
