Pat’s King of Steaks Is Being Incredibly Extra About Its Eagles Love
Their sign and iconic T-shirt have gotten a (temporary) update in advance of the Super Bowl.
Pat’s King of Steaks is trying to outdo just about everyone in Philly with their Eagles enthusiasm leading up to the Super Bowl.
In a move that’s sure to confuse any unfortunate tourists who might have thought they could hit up some Philly landmarks in peace this weekend (lol), they’ve changed the sign of their iconic South Philly cheesesteak spot to read “EAGLES” in giant green letters.
They’re also selling a special Eagles edition of their classic T-shirt to match, which Pat’s scion Frank Olivieri modeled in a post on the shop’s Facebook page today.
At first, Olivieri said, he just made the shirts for his crew – but he’ll have a very limited quantity in sizes medium through XXL for sale at the shop for $20 each.
All profits from the shirt sales will be donated to Olivieri’s Spread the Whiz foundation, which supports culinary education for kinds in Philly. If you want a shirt, we recommend getting down there to grab one ASAP.
