Garces Pops Up With Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel

The Jose Garces empire is growing just a little bit more, albeit temporarily. Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel — which, as you may have guessed, is a bar in the Kimmel Center’s second-floor outdoor balcony — officially pops up for the summer on Wednesday, June 14th.

Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel will be open from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday through September 1st (weather permitting, of course). On Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Center City Sips pricing prevails — that’s $3 beer, $4 wine, and $5 liquor. All other times, guests can partake of an “extended happy hour” with $5 beer, $6 wine, and $7 liquor.

In addition to a variety of bar snacks like seasonal pickles, Nashville hot chicken sliders, pierogies (Mrs. T’s, perhaps?), and margherita pizza, Balcony Bar will offer free wi-fi and music. And if you’re not into heights or the weather’s bad, the bar at Volver downstairs will offer the same happy hour pricing during Balcony Bar hours.
