Uptown Beer Garden Opens For a Third Season

Look for an expanded menu, another bar, and more custom beers.

It finally feels like beer garden weather. And right on time, Center City’s Uptown Beer Garden opened for its third season this weekend with an expanded menu, more beer taps, exclusive collaborative brews, and more.

This season, the beer garden, accessible through 1735 JFK Boulevard or 1735 Market Street, will feature an additional bar with eight more beer taps, more seating, and more food options, developed by executive chef Craig Meyers and sous chef Steve Lindabury of BRU Craft & Wurst, which is also owned by Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group.

There are unique brews to be had, too: Craft Concepts’ Director of Operations and Beer Director Alex Bokulich has worked with local brewers Pizza Boy and 2SP as well as Tampa-based Coppertail Brewing to develop and brew three exclusive Uptown-only beers: Hoppy Uptown IPA from Pizza Boy; blonde IPA Solar Baby from 2SP, made with local wildflower honey; and Coppertail’s Orange Creamsicle, a Berliner Weisse finished with fresh Florida orange juice and zest and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Uptown will also serve as the official Philly Loves Beer Garden during Philly Beer Week, focusing in particular on beers brewed within 100 miles of the city.

Check out the new menu below, and hit Uptown between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 2 p.m. to midnight Wednesdays through Saturdays this summer.
