Local 44 Is Turning Eight Years Old

And they're celebrating with beer, naturally.

How do you celebrate a birthday at Local 44? By drinking, of course. A whole week of drinking, which is what the crew there is preparing for as the West Philly bar and bottle shop approaches its 8th birthday.

That week between Christmas and New Years is always a weird one, but this year, Local 44 is using that strange, slack time to celebrate the bar and bottle shop’s birthday. For that entire week, from December 26 through January 1, they’ll be running all local drafts, menu specials, starting happy hour early (which means $3 beers and a menu of $3 and $4 snacks) and a special New Year’s Day brunch served all day, from noon to 10pm, on Sunday, January 1.

Here’s what the tap list looks like right now for the week of celebration. Odds are good it’s only going to get longer as the party gets closer.
