Rival Bros Coffee has announced a third location. Owners Damien Pileggi and Jonathan Adams are going to be opening a coffee shop in the Touraine at 1528 Spruce Street. This location joins the original cafe at 24th and Lombard and the announced East Passyunk storefront.

The Spruce Street location will be almost twice the size of Rival’s first location with seating for 30, wraparound banquets, lounge tables, 10-seat communal table and counter in the front table.

The coffee bar will offer full-service espresso, single-origin hand pours and both Chemex and Silverton Immersion brewing methods. The cafe will have a similar menu with pastries and bread brought in from High Street on Market and sweet offerings from Lil Pop Shop, Weckerly’s Ice Cream, Sugar Philly and Nathan Miller Chocolate.

The first floor space where Rival Bros. is going to be located has been extensively renovated with the tile floors, columns, trim and crown moulding all being restored. Once the Touraine Hotel, the space once held the hotel’s formal dining room.

As for Rival Bros announced coffee bar at 1600 South 11th Street, the plan is now to open that location in the spring of 2017. It was originally slated for a fall of 2016 opening.
