The Good King Tavern has rolled out its new fall menu, the first under chef Nicholas Bazik. Bazik, a veteran of Fork, Bistrot La Minette and Lacroix has been onboard since early September and now the menu has been fully rolled over to Bazik’s take on French cuisine.

Have no fear, steak frites still has a home on the menu but so does Pork Shoulder Confit with celery root purée, purple cabbage and a sauce verte, as well as a Steak Tartare with mushroom aioli, pickled chanterelle and gaufrettes for dipping.

The Bella Vista restaurant is also launching a bistro-inspired menu on Sundays, starting on October 9th. Expect brunch, lunch and dinner plates plus a chalkboard prix fixe. Sundays also mean half-off bottles of wine all day.

Owner Chloe Grigri also reminds us that in addition to serving till 1 a.m., the Good King offers a Buck-a-Shuck + Bubbles happy hour Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Look for Pét-Nat Muscadet or sparkling rosé from the Loire Valley.
