Saint Benjamin Brewing Company is upping their game (and their selection at the Tap Room).

The  Saint Benjamin’s Tap Room will now offering a full cocktail menu. All spirits will be sourced locally, and they will also be serving local wines and mead too. If you haven’t been keeping up, craft distilling is booming and here in Philly we have some of the very best.

Saint Benjamin’s will be changing drinks seasonally and will eventually be including some beer cocktails on the menu.  Their mead selection is one of the largest in the Philadelphia area, offering four rotating fermented honey drinks. So if you want to feel like an extra on Game of Thrones, you know where to go now.

Some of the drinks on the new cocktail menu include:

  • Ms. Read’s Tonic, with Liberty Gin from Manayunk’s Palmer Distilling Co., elderberry-lemon shrub and violet syrup
  • The Nectar of Forgetfulness, Ben Franklin’s orange shrub recipe, made using Faber Rum from Quakertown’s Midnight Madness Distilling, with falernum and fresh lime
  • The Plain Truth, with Rowhouse Spirits Distillery’s Poitin (96 proof white whiskey) standing in for whiskey, plus honey-grapefruit-pink peppercorn syrup, cardamom bitters and fresh rosemary
  • Smoked Watermelon Old Fashioned, featuring Kinsey 7 Year Old Whiskey from New Liberty Distillery, made with smoked malt and watermelon reduction, with watermelon bacon

In addition to drinks, the Tap Room is expanding its hours too. It will now be open Tuesday through Friday 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. And on the weekends you can grab brunch until 4 p.m. on Saturday and 2 a.m. on Sunday.
