Shake Shack Is Popping Up At Garage In South Philly

Okay Shake Shack fanatics, this one is just for you.

If you didn’t manage to get your hands on Shake Shack’s limited edition, 100% all-natural, split and griddled flat-top hot dog a few years ago at Feastival (the only time it has ever been offered in Philly), that’s okay—now you have another chance.

Next Wednesday, April 27, Shake Shack will have a pop-up at Garage in South Philly where they’ll serve the rare Super Fry Frickle Dog from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. What’s a Super Fry Frickle Dog, you ask? It’s a hot dog topped with shallots marinated in Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale, then cheddar and American cheese sauce, and crispy Thai basil jalapeño pickles. You can get one of these bad boys for just $3.

If that isn’t enough for your taste buds, the Shack will also spin up their Beer Nuts Concrete, a mix of vanilla frozen custard, ShackMeister, and beer nuts for $2.

Of course, as usual, you can get pints of ShackMeister to go with your food, but Brooklyn Brewery will also offer a variety of their other beers including their new American Ale.

All proceeds from the pop-up will go towards Schuylkill Banks, the University City Shake Shack’s charity partner. Schuylkill Banks works to beautify and revitalize the Schuylkill River. So yeah, this means you’ll be drinking beer and eating tube-shaped meats for a good cause. So it’s win-win.
