Wanna Have Lunch At Vetri?

Very early this morning, The Insider dropped the news that Marc Vetri–after years of being pestered by his fans–would open his namesake restaurant (which remains one of the best in the city) for lunch.

Not every day, of course. Not even on most days. But for three days: The first Friday of the month for the next three months.

Unsurprisingly, people went a little bit bonkers. And though it is only 11:30 in the morning, all the two-tops are already reserved for May and June. As of about an hour ago, Vetri himself tweeted that he still had some four and six-tops available to be reserved for the first two lunch dates and, more importantly, that he would be opening up reservations for July in two days.

Damn, two tops sold out for May and June lunch. July book opens in 2 days. We have 4 tops and a 6 top avail still.

So you know, if you’re interested, be waiting by the phone I guess. Or find a few friends willing to pony up $85 for four courses and snag one of those bigger tables.
