Celebrate Pi Day at Magpies

The number 3.1415 represents two things: Pi, the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, and then pie—delicious pie.

Whether you know the full math behind Pi or not, everyone knows that March 14th is National Pi Day, AKA the greatest time to indulge in a nice piece of pie. And what better place to get a slice than at Magpie?

On Monday, March 14th, Magpie is celebrating Pi day by selling slices of their signature butterscotch bourbon pie for just $3.14 (regularly $5.25), and there’s a limit of three slices per customer. Magpie’s Holly Ricciardi is baking more than 100 pies for Monday as she anticipates a good turnout. Last year, Magpie sold 705 slices of sweet pie, 35 hand pies, and 135 pot pies.

Magpie is located at 1622 South Street and the promotion will go from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., or until supplies run out. Word to the wise? Get there early…
