Jaxon BYOB Coming to Northern Liberties
Tony Schiro, the previous owner of The Latest Dish and Fluid Night Club (both of which are closed), is opening Jaxon, a new BYOB in Northern Liberties.
Jaxon will have a continually-changing chalkboard menu that includes seasonal ingredients from local farms including Plowshare, Green Meadow and Overbrook, as well as from urban gardens. Foods to expect on the menu include fresh veggies, fish, and plenty of vegetarian options.
Chefs Ed Conwell and Doug Dreisback will run the kitchen, and they’re coming to Jaxon with good resumes. Their combined experience covers restaurants as diverse as Vernick, Kanella, Little Fish, and Serpico.
Jaxon is located at the intersection of North 3rd Street and Fairmount Avenue and is replacing the old Il Cantuccio. They are set to open on March 9th.
