Annual Turkey Fry At Varga Bar Is Approaching
Varga Bar is hosting their annual Turkey Fry on Sunday Nov. 22 to kick-off Thanksgiving week. Otherwise known as that week where you can stuff your face every night and not feel bad about it.
Chef Evan Turney will be frying 20lb turkeys all day outside of Varga Bar at 941 Spruce Street.
The Turkey Fry will run from 1pm-10pm and be served family-style for $125 for up to 8 people. (So you can literally bring the whole family to feast)
The serving includes a 20lb fried turkey and two family-style sides with choices of: cranberry-apple and orange chutney, garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, sausage pecan, leek and cranberry stuffing, candied yams with caramelized marshmallow or green bean casserole. And for desert, pumpkin cheesecake.
There will also be beer specials throughout the day from the bar’s extensive craft selection.
Varga is charging $25 for individual dinners and the turkey dinner package is also available for take-out (in case you want to go the traditional route of dining at home for an early Thanksgiving celebration).
