Meat Week: Whiskey Dinner At Fette Sau

Fette Sau is hosting a whiskey dinner March 19 with Sazerac whiskey.

It doesn’t get much meatier than the dining room at Fette Sau. Seriously, on a good day it almost seems like you could eat the air inside.

And now the Fishtown barbecue spot is hosting a whiskey dinner on Thursday, March 19 with whiskey brand, Sazerac.Because nothing in the world pairs better with meat–particularly barbecued meat–than brown liquors in all their wondrous variety.

The five-course menu will be paired with a variety of whiskey cocktails for $80 per person (including tax and tip).

Smoked Cheddar Tart
Paired with Welcome Punch (Weller, maple syrup, rosemary, and ginger beer)
 
Smoked Trout Salad and Duck Terrine with Bourbon Mustard
Paired with Whiskey Sour (Buffalo Trace, aperol, and housemade sour mix)
 
Pork Shank with Mustard Greens and Chili Vinegar
Paired with Build-Your-Own Sazerac (absinthe, peychauds bitters, and sugar)
Dessert: Bourbon Milk Punch with Eagle Rare, vanilla syrup, all-spice dram and whole milk.
Chocolate Bourbon Balls offered for take-home.
