Paesano’s on Girard Avenue is moving on from its original location. The sandwich shop is moving next door to the just completed construction at the corner of Girard and O’Neil Streets.

According to Naked Philly, the new location will give Paesano’s 26-seats and an expanded menu. That will be welcome news to Northern Liberties and Fishtown fans of Peter McAndrews’ sandwich spot, as the extra room will probably mean more specials, like the Italian Market location.

The 9th Street location has recently offered the Machizmo (prosciutto, fig and orange marmalade, sharp provolone on a seeded roll), house-made scrapple sandwich (pork scrapple, sweet roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions and peppers, sharp Provolone and a fried egg), pig skins (potato skins with roasted garlic and sharp Provolone) and their seldom seen Gizmo (ribeye cheesesteak with diced salami, cheddar spread, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and roasted tomatoes).
