Black Beers for Black Friday

Black Friday has become a thing at Philadelphia bars. Luckily, it doesn’t mean getting up at 4 a.m. and wrestling over curved TVs but rather it is all about dark beers.

Here are just some of the Black Friday beer events happening today.

Bru Craft & Wurst – Beer dude, Dan Conway and Bru are teaming up to serve 11 rare dark beers, with beer-infused food and an Oxbow pig.

City Tap House – University City – $35 tasting package will get you some big name dark beers like Bear Republic Big Bear Stout, Founders Breakfast Stout, Dock Street Man Full of Trouble, Lost Abbey Angel Share, DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Yards Barrel-Aged George Washington Porter and many more.

Devil’s Den – Look for brunch specials as  well as dark beers like Allagash Black, Founders Dark Penance, Desthil Black Angel and Free Will Black Friday Quad.

Kraftwork and Sidecar Bar – Both of these bars are doing all-day Blackout Brunches with beer highlights like Allagash Black, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Dieu du Ciel Peche Mortel, Goose Island The Muddy, Left Hand Fade to Black (Vo. 2), Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast and many more.
