Celebrate an Early Christmas Dinner German-Style At Brauhaus Schmitz

Starting on Tuesday, November 11th, St. Martin’s Day, and ending on December 21st, Brauhaus Schmitz chef Jeremy Nolen will be preparing traditional a German Christmas Dinner for parties of eight or more. The dinner will feature a 10-pound whole roasted goose, served family-style, stuffed to the brim with house-made pretzel, apple and sage stuffing.

The Christmas Dinner begins with a choice of potato chestnut soup, served with pumpkin seed pesto, or roasted beet salad with toasted hazelnuts and blue cheese with orange-tarragon vinaigrette. The roasted goose that follows will be served with four traditional sides: mini potato dumplings, braised sweet and sour cabbage, pan-roasted Brussels sprouts, and giblet gravy.

Lebkuchen, a German twist on gingerbread cookies; Pfeffernuss, spiced round biscuits; and springele, anise seed sugar cookies, will be served as dessert.

The dinner is $60 per person and includes a complimentary glass of Gluhwein, a mulled red wine that is poured warm, as well as a sweet treat to take home.

The dinner requires 48-hour notice. Call the restaurant at (267) 909-8814 to make reservations for this event.
