Drink, Write and Paint

By ·

red-umbrellaTuesday, September 9th is shaping up to be an evening reserved for getting your drink on and dipping into your inner artìst. Be careful not to get too tipsy though, or you might end up sending some embarrassing mail.

PubLetters[1], the awesome (and free) idea that has been happening at Doobies recently, is coming to The Standard Tap starting September 9th. PubLetters runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and supplies you with all the essentials–stationery, stamps, and the inspiration to have a drink and write someone a letter. The Tap will also be hosting PubLetters September 16th, 23rd and 30th. Drink specials will be plentiful and provides a great excuse to unplug for the night.

Not into putting pen to paper? Perhaps Field House’s[2] Paint Night is more up your alley. Encouraging guests to “drink creatively,” Paint Night Philly[3] hosts paint parties at local bars. On September 9th at Field House at 1150 Filbert Street, there will be drinks and putting paint to canvas with local artist Holly Colaguori[4]. The fun starts at 7 p.m. and the $45 per person fee covers all the paint and supplies you need. Field House will also be offering wine, draft beer and cocktail specials.
