Charlie Trotter Inspired Dinners

Last week, culinary pioneer, chef and restaurateur Charlie Trotter passed away. We’ve already seen a special meal at Will over the weekend and it looks like we’ll see some more commemorative dinners this week.

Matyson is dedicating its weekly tasting menu to the Chicago restaurateur. Tonight through Thursday the “Grand Finale Tribute to Charlie Trotter will be offered for $45 per person.

Chip Roman, who first heard about Charlie Trotter when he was 19 and working in Marc Vetri’s kitchen is hosting a special tribute dinner tomorrow, November 12th. Roman bought all of Trotter’s books which he says were “very out of my league at the time.” But tomorrow he looks to heed Trotter’s advice about balance in his special $45 per person dinner at Conshohocken’s Blackfish.
