University City’s HubBub Coffee Opens Monday


The second HubBub Coffee location is set to open on Monday, October 21st in University City at 3736 Spruce Street. The new HubBub location is in a newly remodeled 1,700 square foot space that will welcome West Philadelphia coffee drinkers with Stumptown coffee. HubBub offers a full roster of coffee drinks including individual pour overs, Chemex coffee service plus espresso drinks.

A daily assortment bagels, and other edibles from local purveyors like Au Fournil, Gilda’s Biscotti, and Sugar Philly.

Owner Drew Crockett, a University of Pennsylvania alum is creating a space that will be comfortable for students and laptop warriors. The space features communal tables, a long banquette, timber accents and and brushed copper.

HubBub started in 2009 as a shiny red truck parked at 38th and Spruce Streets. Since then, Crockett has opened a shop in Center City at 17th and Arch Streets and now a second in University City.
